{"id":3431,"date":"2015-12-12T02:12:00","date_gmt":"2015-12-12T02:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fotosentidos.com\/?p=3431"},"modified":"2017-12-01T23:48:38","modified_gmt":"2017-12-01T23:48:38","slug":"ilhas-dos-acores-corvo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fotosentidos.com\/en\/2015\/12\/ilhas-dos-acores-corvo\/","title":{"rendered":"Azores Islands &#8211; Corvo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>And it is from the small <a href=\"http:\/\/fotosentidos.com\/acores\/en\/corvo\/\">Corvo Island<\/a> that I start&nbsp;the photo tour by our <a href=\"http:\/\/fotosentidos.com\/acores\/en\/\">Azores Archipelago<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Corvo&nbsp;is the smallest island of the Azores Islands with about 6.2 km long by about 4.0 Km of maximum width.<\/p>\n<p>Its oval and elongated surface according to a north-south direction occupies an area of about&nbsp;17,0 km<sup>2 &nbsp;<\/sup>and, together with the Flores Island forms&nbsp;the <a href=\"http:\/\/fotosentidos.com\/acores\/en\/ocidental\/\">Western Group<\/a> of the archipelago.<\/p>\n<p>Inhabited by about 430 people, the main points, not to be missed, apart from Corvo&nbsp;Village, is the&nbsp;Caldeir\u00e3o, the crater of an extinct volcano, with its ponds and bogs where they come graze some &nbsp; bovine cattle enjoying&nbsp;the peace these landscapes provide.<\/p>\n<p>In the village, the beautiful Church of Our Lady of Miracles and the group of mills along the airport are two of the point also to visit along with the Corvo&#8217;s Interpretation Center.<\/p>\n<p>It has a small bathing area with a fine sandy beach surrounded by black and jagged volcanic rocks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/acores.fotosentidos.com\/en\/ocidental\/corvo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Take a look in fotosentidos gallery about Corvo<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Ler mais sobre a Ilha do Corvo\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Corvo_Island\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Knowing more about Corvo Island<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>And it is from the small Corvo Island that I start&nbsp;the photo tour by our Azores Archipelago.
